Carbonate Hardness Measurement for Testomats
The Testomat Indicator TC2050, 500 ml bottle, measures carbonate hardness in water.
Carbonate hardness (also called temporary hardness) describes the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium carbonates in water. It is a critical parameter in industrial water treatment, as it significantly affects the water's buffering capacity.
Excessive carbonate hardness can lead to scale formation, deposits in pipelines, and efficiency losses in heat exchangers. At the same time, carbonate hardness is an important control parameter for softening and dosing processes.
The Testomat Indicator TC2050 allows reliable, automatic monitoring of carbonate hardness through a precise color reaction. It is especially suitable for process and utility water with a pH value > 4 and supports stable and safe process control.
